Mobile SourceForge.netExisting from 1999 SourceForge.net always was a fixed wight website for desktop computers. Creation of mobile SourceForge experience became my main goal on the project. Using principles of responsive design our team began to build a mobile extension to the famous open source repository. As as a part of the challenge the set of icons had been created.

Subscription & SignupA new feature ‘manage subscription’ was introduced to improve user signup flow. Now users get a better control over SourceForge.com news and messages from their preferences page. The flow itself had been simplified, and new visual and interaction design transformed user experience into more enjoyable journey.

Email TemplatesEmail templates were modified and updated to improve appearance and user experience. By creating persona we illustrated user flow more efficiently. By extending the user experience with a reminder to review downloaded projects, we helped to projects to gather more users' reviews. Close collaboration with developers made implementation pixel perfect.

Agile EnvironmentAgile environment allowed our team in a timely manner to introduce a lot of UX improvements. Among them are updates of templates of most visited pages, which after A/B and multivariate testing helped us to increase page views. My team successfully introduced new widgets and banners for AdBlock plugin users and several widgets for SEO improvement.

On the Pursuit of ConsistencyConsistency in design is a must have. It helps web users to distinguish native content from ads. To satisfy users in their journeys the project style guide had been created, then all inconsistencies across web service were documented and put to backlog.
